If you earn your own money from independent pursuit of economic activity, then you can consider yourself as a self-employed person.

Being self-employed means you work 12 hours or more a day for yourself so you don't have to work 8 hours a day for someone else. All the profits and credits will be yours and yours only. You'll be known as a self-employed person to people who know you.
